Welcome!
SPRINT welcomes LGBT seniors
In response to community consultations, SPRINT included in its 2010-2013 strategic plan the goal to reach out to LGBT seniors (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered) in North Toronto.
We work closely with members of the LGBT community.
It is now mandatory for all SPRINT staff to attend LGBT awareness training. Our volunteers are also receiving such training.
Our agency's policies, procedures, and practices are being reviewed through an 'equity lens' to ensure we don't unintentionally or unknowingly discourage LGBT seniors from becoming a part of SPRINT.
Safe Environment
At SPRINT, we strive to make all our services, including our home care services, inclusive and welcoming for LGBT seniors. We want to build a safe environment for all seniors and people with disabilities.
We also provide some activities specifically for members and friends of the LGBT community. We facilitate LGBT community conversations, Open Houses, and other initiatives. For more information, please call our Information Desk at (416) 481-6411. Your call will be kept strictly confidential. You will not have to share any personal information if you don't feel like doing so.

PRIDE week in Toronto!
SPRINT celebrated PRIDE Week in Toronto in July 2011. Our Adult Day Services program at the Anne Johnston Health Station celebrated a PRIDE lunch. Our clients enjoyed a PRIDE Pancake Brunch and Bingo hosted by Empress Michelle DuBarry at Montgomery Place on Eglinton Ave.
SPRINT joined the PRIDE Parade on July 3rd and participated in the Community Street Fair.
